Getting to know Hal
Favorite food: Pizza, most anything cooked on the Grill, & fresh fish
Hidden talent: Not sure that it’s hidden, but singing is a passion, & something I love to do
Favorite book: I have several, the Bible being the one I read almost every day. For financial principals, “The Richest Man in Babylon” is a must (simple & yet profound)
Favorite movies: Gladiator, War Room or Ghost
What motivates Hal: What motives me is to have a positive impact on the people I’m around; whether it’s helping them with making wise financial decisions, guiding them in principals of Biblical truth, encouraging them to live more healthy, productive lives, giving to someone who is doing all they know to do, but needs a helping hand, or a worthy cause, or just being an encouragement to someone and having fun in the relationships I have with my friends and family.
I am also motivated by personal development, which is a constant “quest”. This includes getting to know God on a more personal, intimate level through prayer & studying His Word (the Bible), reading books on business and self-improvement, exercise, eating well, and trying to be the best I can be in the areas I enjoy
Favorite holiday: Thanksgiving & Christmas, because those are the holidays we spend with family & friends, and they allow me time to focus on the people I love & care for most
Something on Hal’s bucket list: Sky diving, Scuba Diving, and taking my son back to his native land, Nepal (who knows, we might even make base camp on Mt. Everest)
Place he’d most like to visit: Australia, New Zeland and Alaska
Biggest accomplishment: On a personal level, completing the adoption of our son, Graham. And being married to the love of my life, Lorie, for the past 35 years (Dec 31, 1982)
